Anne Bourne Artist/ composer, writer, mentor, traveller based in Tkaronto, improvises emergent streams of cello, voice, field recording, moving image and text. Seasoned in international performance and recordings, creative dance, free improvisation and distance telematics; a sonics improviser with composer Pauline Oliveros (1932-2016), alumni of the sangre de cristo mountain range deep listening retreats 1995-2000, Anne is a Trustee and Executive Producer of the documentary film Deep Listening: the story of Pauline Oliveros. Anne leads environmental listening and sounding gatherings, to create in collective empathic gesture. Recent compositions for spatial sound installation, nearshore in collaboration with Striped Canary,US, the Bentway, Toronto, 2022; Learning Endings a listening walk in Lincoln Park, West Seattle, The Henry Gallery; and Divers for artist Patty Chang, with Astrida Neimanis and Aleksija Neimanis, the Neuberger Museum, Westchester NY 2023. A Chalmers Fellow 2023, Anne observes shorelines, microtonal singing, and adjacent human extraction patterns, practices footsteps as touch, walking the littoral, attending a more-than-human sound field, composing in attunement to the spectral wave patterns of water. www.annebournemusic.com/
