Beau’s workshop will focus on deconstructing and reconstructing pop vocal mixing & production from start to finish, covering arrangement, to tuning, stacks, recording processes, and the end mix result. Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout and bring their own DAWS/laptops to follow along and take notes. Beau will be using Pro Tools but will give suggestions and alternatives for plugins in other DAWs.Seating will be limited as this event is happening in the A Room of Union Sound, so please pre-register for this event.


Beau Cassidy has been creating music for his whole life. Based in Toronto’s East End, he holds a BFA Degree in Electroacoustics from Concordia University. He works as a producer, mixer and recording engineer in both stereo and Atmos at 80A Studios and Raventape Music Room. Beau specializes in fusing traditional in-the-box skills with a whimsical, irreverent pop attitude that embodies the genre-fluid future of music production, with clients including Universal Music, Disney, PBS, Def Jam, BMG, Warner, and more.
