Natasha “Courage” Bacchus is a multidisciplinary artist, theatre-maker and visual performer, as well as a former three-time Deafolympican gold medalist sprinter. My artistic practice explores signed music, body movement, and solo performance across theatre, cabaret, film and television. Since 2019, I have collaborated with artists and companies across Canada, the U.S, Colombia, and France. A theatre-maker and visual performer, I continue to break barriers for Indigenous and Black Deaf artists in Canada.
Through her collaborations in theatre and film, she deepens her ongoing journey of self-discovery and transformation through art. Her solo work Rebirth of Courage premiered internationally in 2022.
