In this workshop, participants will learn the skills to develop a small scale, personalized music software tool for recording or performance. In addition to learning technical aspects of sound software development, we will also discuss and implement key concepts in software interface design, particularly for music programs. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of the logic behind sound software, knowledge on the design bespoke interfaces, and unique tool they can use in their work for exploration and creation.

Tashi Maduekwe is a graphic designer, programmer and sound designer from Toronto. She develops software, hardware and user interfaces for electronic music production and performance. Tashi is currently an instructor at OCAD University teaching graphic design, interactive media and digital fabrication.
